Say “yes” if you want a random nude
It’s easy to look at the world around us and conclude that it needs to change. That might mean working on a difficult project at work or dealing with family members who hold different views than your own. It could also mean tackling a difficult life situation like homelessness or an abusive relationship.
The idea behind the program is to give students access to college with what’s known as a last dollar offering, meaning that students should first secure as much federal and state financial aid, scholarships and other aid as possible before the Say Yes funding kicks in. The principle of saying “yes”—sometimes literally—is a key one in creative endeavors like brainstorming and the improv practice “Yes, and.” Tina Fey describes how she used the “Yes, and” philosophy to keep her career going after SNL, which led to her wild success. But, of course, there are times when saying “no” is more important than ever, when it can help set and maintain boundaries, keep you safe, and stop bad behavior, unhealthy relationships or terrible ideas in their tracks.
