For many young men who grew up inside a digitised world watching porn, flicking through girls on Tinder, and now paying to see a camgirl, it seems like the most natural step to be in webcam shows. It affirms their identity in the way that the Jerry Springer show does for some people.

It takes a lot of energy to come up with fresh show ideas, remember viewer’s birthdays, and respond to emails and private messages – the work is more complicated than it looks. Camgirl Isa Mazzei discusses the hard work of being a camgirl on this week’s LGBTQ&A podcast.
